No More Nasal Sprays: A Homeopathic Approach to Allergic Rhinitis
Allergy means sensitivity, and rhinitis means inflammation of the mucus membrane of the nose. People generally suffer from allergies when their bodies overreact to certain substances that do not cause problems to others. The substances that cause allergic reactions are termed allergens.
A 47-year-old male visited Life Force Kemp’s corner branch for the treatment of allergic rhinitis. He has been suffering from it for 9 to 10 years. It was mild in intensity, so the patient was not much bothered about it, however, in the last 1-2 years, the intensity had increased. The patient used to suffer twice a month from allergic complaints. It used to start suddenly and then would get better after 6 to 7 days. There was continuous sneezing with watery discharge from the nose along with itching and redness of the eyes was also present. The patient complained of body aches and lethargic feelings during the episode. He used to take nasal spray and other conventional medicines during episodes. In the past, he was treated at Life Force for his Lumbar spondylitis and had found amazing results. So he contacted Life Force again for his allergic complaints.
His appetite was average as well as his thirst was normal. His sleep was refreshing. There was no complaint with urine and stool.
He was running a business. He was staying with his wife and two children. He was very short-tempered and often got angry and irritable at small matters and was also argumentative by nature.
There was no major past illness noticed with the patient and there was no major illness running in the family.

Follow-ups:
On 8th April 2024, the patient reported that there was no major difference with the medicines. The complaint of sneezing and runny nose was still present. The itching and redness of the eyes were also the same. He had to take nasal spray during an acute episode. Based on this feedback, Dr.Shah revised the medicines as per the case needs.
On 20th June 2024, he updated feedback that there was a remarkable improvement with the medicines. The episodes were reduced in frequency and intensity. The sneezing was reduced than before. He had stopped using nasal spray for a month. The patient was very happy with the recovery.
On 20th August 2024, the patient reported that he was further better. The episodes of sneezing and runny nose were less than before. The redness and itching of the eyes were still present sometimes but the intensity was less than before. He had stopped all conventional medicines for the same. There was overall recovery with the medicines.

Conclusion:
This case highlights the efficacy of Homeopathic treatment in chronic allergic conditions. One can be allergic to anything under the sun, and it is difficult to find the exact allergen, however, if we work on the immune system of the person, the resistance power is increased and gradually the episodes of allergy reduce. After starting treatment under Dr.Shah, the patient experienced slow but significant improvement in his Allergic Rhinitis. The medicines not only helped to treat his allergic complaints but also improved the quality of his life with no need to take conventional medicines.
