Miss K. K. S. (Patient Identification Number - 18302) visited our centre on 18th February, 2012 with the complaints of hair fall. She had been in the developing phase of female pattern baldness.
It had stared a year back. She had dandruff throughout the year. The hair had been thinning and loosing the normal texture. Her brother had developed male pattern baldness. She had taken some allopathic medicines for few months a year ago.
Her new born baby had immediately died after birth 2 years back. She was in a state of shock and bereavement at the loss of her child. After this loss some differences arose with her husband and led to a divorce a year back. This stress had taken a toll on her health and she started with these complaints.
She also complained of frequent cold since 3 – 4 years. She would have sneezing, running nose and head heaviness once a month for a week. It would aggravate by cold drinks and change of weather. She would resort to antihistamines as and when required.
She was a vegetarian by choice. She had an average appetite. She liked sweets, green vegetables and curd. She did not like raw onions. She did not sweat much, but could not tolerate warm temperature. Her sleep was sound with occasional dreams of water and snakes.
She was working in a shipping company. Her father was retired and mother was a home maker. Her elder brother was working. She was planning to remarry in a few months.
She was social and friendly. She would get easily angry. The disappointment of the failed marriage had been stressful. She was feeling remorse and frustration for her bad marriage. Now she had decided to remarry and move on, forgetting the past.
Her mother was suffering from diabetes, high blood pressure and knee pain.
Dr. Shah gave a patient hearing to her grief and prescribed Natrum Muraticum 30c along with some research based medicines.
After 6 weeks of medication she reported on 2nd April, 2012 with significant improvement in hair fall and dandruff. Her sneezing and cold had reduced by 70%.
After 3 months of medication she reported on 18th June, 2012 with mild increase in hair fall. Her dandruff had also increased. The cold and sneezing were further better. Dr Shah made appropriate changes in her medication.
After 7 months of medication she reported on 1st October, 2012 with almost complete stoppage of hair fall. There was no dandruff. The cold had also improved by 80%. She had started to notice new hair growth.
A positive attitude and proper Homeopathic treatment based on her emotional apsects, helped to change the tide for her. She has been adviced to continue the treatment for another few months to achieve as much improvement as possible.
