Dr (Mrs.). S. V. M (Patient Identification Number - 15292), consulted Dr. Shah on 5th January 2011 for her chronic Migraine complaints. She had been suffering from these painful headaches from the last 20 years.
It would occur once a week and would stay for a day or two. She would feel better by peaceful and undisturbed sleep. Her life was stressful managing children, home and hospital. Her migraines would get aggravated due to hunger, sun and stress. She would feel like sleeping and taking rest rather than working with the pain. She would take a pain killer as and when required.
She had associated complaint of acne like rash on the chin occurring before menses and due to stress.
She had normal appetite with preference for sweet and vegetarian food. She had normal perspiration with more on palms and soles. She was intolerant to cold weather.
She was a child specialist doctor while her husband was a radio – oncologist in an esteemed cancer hospital. She had 2 daughters; 8 and 4 years respectively. Her in laws resided in Bangalore.
She had a history of suffering from a tubercular abscess of perineum in her 2nd pregnancy.
She was cheerful, hard working and adjusting person. She was responsible and sincere in her work. She used to complete all her duties pertaining to work and house chores as well. She would diligently do her duties forgetting even having food sometimes – stated her husband.
There was no significant family history; her father was suffering from high blood pressure. Her uncle had migraine headaches.
Her case details were studied by Dr. Shah and she was prescribed Silica 30c and some research based medicines.
She felt 60% improvement within 2 months of medication. She reported on 9th March 2011 with reduction in the frequency and intensity of her migraine attacks. She had suffered from just one severe attack in the last 1 month which had caused her a lot of discomfort and vomiting. But she was happy to inform about the intake of pain killers reducing with our medicines.
After reviewing her case Dr Shah upgraded her medicines. She reported again on 29th August 2011 with great improvement. The frequency had reduced to once in 2 months with minimum need of pain killer.
