A 40 years female, Mrs. S. A. M. (Patient Identification Number - 15102) visited Lifeforce clinic on 17th November 2010. She had chronic Migraine complaint since almost 10 years.
The frequency would be two to three times in a month, each episode lasting for two to three days. There would be severe and unbearable pain around the eyes and temples; one sided at a time. She would feel nausea, which was relieved by vomiting. The triggering factors were acidity, gases, constipation, fermented food, menses, sun, fasting, disturbed sleep, talking, noise, light, stress and change in daily routine etc. She had tried all types of treatment but nothing seemed to help her. Almost ten days per month, she would suffer from severe headaches.
She was a vegetarian by choice and preferred spicy, sweets and salty food. The perspiration was profuse and generalized. She was intolerant to warm weather. Her sleep was interrupted.
She was a home maker. Her husband was a stock broker. She had 2 children; a son and a daughter, both were completing their education. Her father in law was retired while mother in law was a home maker, staying with them.
She was an impatient and extremely anxious personality. She had tremendous stress regarding her health as her parents were suffering from many illnesses. She described herself as ‘talkative and hyperactive’. She had fear of accidents if her husband reached late at home. She could not stay alone, she always required company. Her anger would remain for a short while and she would forget it easily. She was a commerce topper in her college, got married at a younger age and helped in her husband’s family business. She did not like wasting time so would read books in her free time. She was aware of all the major illnesses her family members were suffering from making her more anxious and fearful.
There was a strong family history of diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease.
Her case was analyzed by Dr. Shah in detail and prescribed Kali Carbonicum along with a research based medicines.
After 4 months of treatment she reported personally on 8 march 2011, she was considerably better in her complaints of Migraine. Since the start of the treatment, she had suffered from three to four major episodes of migraine which were efficiently taken care. Her case was reviewed and medicines were upgraded.
After another 8 months of treatment she reported again on 5 December 2011, she reported further improvement. She had very good reduction in the intensity and frequency of migraine headaches.
She visited on 5th May 2012 for complaints of mild joints pain. Her migraine had been completely cured, with no episode since last four to five months.
She has started the treatment for her other complaints and is confident that it will also be cured as her chronic and obstinate migraine got cured.
