A 39-year-old middle-aged lady (PIN:36549) visited Life Force clinic on 21st April 2018 for the treatment of her Migraine and Constipation. She was in substantial distress due to severe headache episodes, which she was suffering for the past six years. Every week, she would experience 1-2 episodes of a migraine attack which would last for 8-10 hours. During the episode, she would experience a throbbing pain on the right side of the head, and the pain would radiate from right vertex to the right side of the neck. Her headache was associated with nausea and vomiting. She was highly sensitive to odors during an episode. Her migraine attack would get triggered by exposure to the sun, inadequate sleep, phenol smell, or any strong odor. After vomiting, she would experience relief in pain. She was unable to work or function normally during a migraine episode, the pain was affecting the quality of her life adversely.
She was also suffering from Gastritis for the past 6 years. She suffered from the bloating in the abdomen, as if a football punched in the stomach, with pain. For this, she was taking Tablet. Cyclopam as per the need. Besides this, she was experiencing a hair fall and had developed hyperpigmented patches on the body.
There was no history of any major illness in her family, except for her father who had Diabetes.
As far as her physical generals were concerned, her appetite was average. She was a vegetarian with no specific likes or dislikes with regards to the food. Her thirst was average. She had a tendency to sweat profusely, particularly on the palms and soles. She was more sensitive to the cold weather than heat. Her stools were unsatisfactory, and she had a tendency to experience constipation discomfort. So, she had started taking laxatives from the last one year. With laxatives, she passed stool on a daily basis, or else she would pass stool once in two days. She had no problems with regards to the urination. Her sleep was sound.
She was a homemaker, and her husband was a property dealer. She was very sensitive by nature and always needed people around.
Dr. Rajesh Shah studied the case in detail and prescribed Natrum Muriaticum 30c in addition to his research-based medicines to the patient.
In May 2018, when the patient visited Life Force, she mentioned that her relief from her migraine was better by 25%. Also, her frequency of experiencing headache episode was reduced. Earlier, she used to suffer from the headache episodes at least 2 times a week, but, now, she was having episodes just twice in a month. And, the duration of her painful episode was reduced. Also, the need to use the painkiller was reduced. The same set of medicines were repeated for two months as she was feeling better with it.
In the subsequent follow-ups, she continued to improve. The frequency and intensity of her Migraine episodes decreased gradually.
There was a sustained recovery from her Migraine in the subsequent follow-ups. With 9 months of regular treatment, she showed a remarkable improvement in her health. In January 2019, the patient reported that she was completely relieved of her discomforting migraine episodes. The last episode of a migraine attack which she had experienced was before 4 months. She is still continuing with the medicines for her Constipation complaint.
