Mrs. S.J. from Thailand was experiencing symptoms of sudden shooting pain in her left ear that would radiate to the left jaw from February 2018. She began searching online to figure out what exactly is happening to her and came across Dr. Shah's website. She discussed her case with Dr. Shah's online doctors. After going through her case in detail, she was informed to her by the doctors that she was suffering from Trigeminal neuralgia. The same diagnosis was confirmed by her local physician. Her pain would start suddenly, and, in a day, she would experience sudden attacks of pain at least 15-20 times that would last for 4-5 minutes. Her pain was unbearable and used to turn worse while eating, brushing, and talking. She was afraid of taking conventional medicines, as she read online about uncomfortable and some intolerable side-effects of the drugs which were given to try to stop the pain. Also, the drugs won’t work always, so hard pressed sufferers may turn to surgery which may or may not help. Mrs. S.J. has an immense faith in Homeopathy, and, after going in detail through various patients’ Video testimonials and case studies on Dr. Shah's website, Mrs. S.J. (PIN-25512) opted for online treatment protocol under Dr. Shah in March 2018.
Besides trigeminal neuralgia, she was suffering from psoriasis. In the past, she has undergone a hysterectomy. There was no history of any major illness present in her family.
She was emotional, sensitive, and very disciplined. She cared a lot for everyone in her family and friend circle and would get disturbed easily if something happens to someone. She was lean and thin by stature and would not tolerate the heat.
After studying and analyzing her case in detail, Dr. Shah prescribed her Spigelia-30 along with his research-based medicines for four months to the patient.
On 16th April 2018, the patient informed that her frequency and intensity of getting pain attacks had increased and she had to take a painkiller to control the pain. The patient was counseled and was explained to keep patience and let the effects of the medicines be allowed for two more weeks. She was told to give us an update after two weeks that will be reviewed again then.
On 4th May 2018, the patient reported that her frequency of pain attacks had increased. Earlier, her frequency of pain attacks was 15 times per day, and it had then increased to 25-30 times per day, but its duration and intensity had reduced. Earlier the pain was very intense, however, during this follow-up, the severity of the pain had reduced. Also, earlier her pain which would remain for 5 minutes had then reduced to just 1 minute. Dr. Shah advised her to follow the same medicines.
In November 2018, the patient happily informed that her relief from the pain was better by 95%. Occasionally, once in a month or 2 months, she was experiencing a pain attack which would last for a few seconds. She was prescribed maintaining doses and was informed that, once she will be completely free from the pain, her treatment will be stopped.
Mrs. S.J. was really thankful to found Dr. Shah for her treatment of trigeminal neuralgia.
Conclusion:
The above case highlights that a patient's awareness of the temporary relief with conventional drugs and the possible side-effects and her choice of opting for Homeopathic treatment on time helped her in getting rid of her severe, unbearable pain of Trigeminal neuralgia effectively and safely without any side-effects.
