A 12-years-old young female, Miss. K.A. (PIN 28763) visited Life Force centre on 20th May 2016. She was suffering from a frequent cold since six months. She used to suffer from sneezing and nasal discharge every morning. She was also suffering from the symptoms of nose block. Her complaints were getting aggravated. She did an allergic test that is IgE which was normal.
Along with frequent colds, she was suffering from vitiligo since three years. She had hypo-pigmented spots over eyelids, neck, head, knees, and foot. She had a strong family history of vitiligo.
She had an average appetite, which used to get reduced during every acute flare-up of rhinitis. She was fond of spicy foods and sour foods. She did not like sweets. Her thirst and bowel habits were normal. She used to experience average sweating, particularly on the face. She was more tolerant to the warm weather. Her sleep, sometimes, would get disturbed due to nose block.
Her father and paternal grandfather were suffering from vitiligo. Her mother was suffering from asthma and acidity. Besides her parents, her maternal grandparents were suffering from hypertension and diabetes.
She had suffered from duodenal ulcer and GERD in the past.
She was friendly, quite sincere, good in academics, and had topped her class. She had stress in the past as she saw an accident due to which she got frightened and suffered from fever for 10 days. After studying the case in detail, Dr. Shah prescribed her a research-based medicine for frequent colds and advised her parents to report after two months.
On 21st July 2016, she reported 50% improvement in her relief from the complaints. The intensity of sneezing and running nose had reduced considerably. The frequency of the complaints was also reduced.
On 24th Sep 2016, she gave the feedback that there was 75% improvement in her relief from the complaints, but she had suffered an acute episode once after taking ice-cream.
When she again reported on 3rd Jan 2017, there was 100% improvement in her condition. She did not suffer from any acute episode in the last two months.
Later, when she visited on 4th July 2017, there was 100% improvement in her condition. She has not faced any acute episode since the last 5-6 months. All her symptoms were completely cured.
The patient is still continuing the medicine for her other complaints.
