A 37 years female, Mrs. B. S. M. (Patient Identification Number – 17923) visited Life Force Center on 7th January 2012. She was suffering from Chronic Migraine since the last 15 years.
The frequency of episodes of migraine would be two to three times in a month, each episode lasting for a day. There would be severe and unbearable pain around the eyes and temples; mostly left sided. The head pain would be associated with heaviness in the eyes, nausea and giddiness. She would feel relief with vomiting. The triggering factors were acidity, skipping meals, exposure to air conditioner, exposure to sun, stress and sleep deprivation. She had tried all types of treatment but nothing seemed to help her.
She was a vegetarian by choice and preferred sweets. The perspiration was average and generalized. She was intolerant to warm weather. Her sleep was sound.
She was working in a private firm as a HR administrator. Her husband was a businessman. She had a son who was completing his education.
She was a very ambitious and perfectionist lady. She did not like shoddy work. She was friendly by nature and adjustable to all situations. She would get offended very easily, and keep brooding over the subject. She would not share her feelings easily. She was short tempered and expressed her anger by shouting.
There was a strong family history of Asthma.
Her case was analyzed by Dr. Rajesh Shah in detail and he prescribed Ferrum Metallicum-30c along with a research based medicine. She reported after six weeks with good relief. There was just one episode of migraine in the last six weeks. Dr Shah continued her treatment.
After 4 months of treatment she reported personally on 14th May 2012, she was considerably better in her complaints of Migraine. Since the start of the treatment, she had suffered from just two to three episodes of migraine, which were of milder intensity. Her case was reviewed and medicines were upgraded.
She reported again on 5th August, 2012 which good relief in Migraine. After 12 months of treatment she reported on 17th December 2012, she reported further improvement. She had very good reduction in the intensity and frequency of migraine headache. She suffered from migraine once in two three months. It was very mild in intensity.
She visited on 29th May, 2013. Her migraine had been completely cured, with no episode since last two to three months. She thanked Dr Shah for helping her to over come this difficult and recurring painful condition. She had lost all her freedom and happiness due to Migraine. Now she could travel anywhere, eat out; tolerate the air conditioner, without headache. She looked relaxed and happy.
