Two and half years old Master N. G. (Patient Identification Number -12378) visited our clinic on 9th July 2009. He was suffering from recurrent cold, cough, fever with loose motion since past two months. He had such episodes every biweekly for which he was given conventional medication.
He was under weight child. His weight was eleven kilograms since past one year although he was eating well and was an active child.
He was a vegetarian and had good appetite. He had no specific likes but he disliked salty food. His bowel movements, urine and perspiration were normal. He had sound sleep. He preferred cold weather.
He was a play school student. He was living in a joint family. His family consisted of parents, grandparents, paternal uncle and aunt.
He was irritable and emotional by nature. He was irritable when anyone tried to console him. He used to weep when left alone. His grandmother reported that his parents were enforcing strict disciplinary control which used to stress him out.
His father and paternal grandfather were suffering from hailey hailey’s disease. His mother was suffering from high blood pressure.
Dr. Shah prescribed him research based medicine after studying his case in detail.
He reported on 14th October 2009. He had episodes of cold, cough, fever and loose motions but the frequency had reduced from biweekly to once in a month. He still had to take conventional medication during this episode. His weight was still eleven kilograms.
He reported on 10th January 2010. His complaints of cold, cough, fever and loose motions had increased. The child was complaining of pain in abdomen. His chest was congested on examination and he had high grade fever. His weight had increased from eleven kilograms to eleven and half kilograms. He had started with urticaria since few days. Dr. Shah made necessary changes in his prescription.
He reported on 8th April 2010. His complaint of frequent cold, cough was better around 75%. He had no complaints of fever and loose motion or abdominal pain. He had no complaints of urticaria.
Patient revisited clinic on 6th May 2014 after four years for some other complaint. On inquiring he reported that he had no complaint of recurrent cold, cough, fever or abdominal pain.
