A 6.5-years-old girl child, Miss B. C. (PIN 13315) was brought to Life Force by her parents for treating her recurrent tonsillitis and enlarged adenoids which she was suffering from the last 2-3 years. She came to us with the complaints of severe nasal blockage with a difficulty in breathing through the nose. She almost kept her mouth open to breathe through all the time. She used to experience these attacks almost every month lasting for a week or so each time. Along with this, she suffered from the frequent colds with watering from the nose and recurrent sneezing associated with fever. She was also suffering from recurrent aphthous ulcers with redness of tongue, gums, and inner lips with a difficulty in eating and drinking. She had severely enlarged adenoids and tonsils, and the ENT surgeon and pediatrician had advised a surgery for her complaints. She was on frequent antibiotics. She had brought her X-ray of Nasopharynx which showed enlarged tonsils in the water’s view. These complaints were also associated with hair fall.
She was a vegan with an average appetite. She had an excessive desire for fruits, sour, and sweet foods. She was sensitive to the cold as well as heat. Her bowel movement and urination were normal. Her sleep was sound. She had happy dreams of friends and joy. During the attacks, she often complained of disturbed sleep due to her complaints.
She was a mild, expressive, and confident child, and she was very neat and clean to appear. She was a very fearful girl having fear of every small thing, such as fear of animals, darkness, staying alone, etc. She was very obedient and sincere girl with a desire to remain in lots of company. She was timid, but she easily mixed with people after knowing them.
She had a strong family history of diabetes mellitus, hypertension, hypothyroidism, and frequent colds. On examination, she had enlarged, swollen, and congested tonsils.
Her case was studied in detail by Dr. Rajesh Shah and, on basis of this, he prescribed his research-based medicines to the patient.
In the first follow-up itself, she was 50% better with her frequent cold, aphthous ulcer, and hair fall.
By the end of three months, the family came to the clinic so happily as the patient had no complaint of cold, aphthous ulcer, hair fall, tonsillitis, fever, and she enjoyed a sound sleep with no mouth breathing and nasal blockage.
Conclusion:
This case illustrates the effectiveness of homeopathy in treating enlarged tonsils and adenoids with a weak immunity and the surgery can be avoided. With homeopathic treatment, the patient significantly improved with her relief from the recurrent complaints. The homeopathic medicines based on the totality of the patient picture improved her immunity and made her symptom-free in a very short span of time.
