In the initial two three months there were no visible changes noticed with the lichen planus. The patient was worried and extremely anxious. Dr Shah explained to her in chronic disorders like lichen planus it takes relatively more time to respond to the given treatment. Dr Shah was sure that she will do well and would be completely cured.
In the fourth month she started responding to the medicines. Her lichen planus was improving substantially, the lesions had become flat and they had subsided. The itching had reduced and was occur occasionally.
In the subsequent four months there was remarkable improvement in her lichen planus, all her lesions had subsided. There were no active lesions, occasionally one or two eruptions would come and heal quickly. Now, there was no itching.
The marks had begin to fade. At this time, the patient was relieved. She could see the marks getting lighter.
Her treatment was continued further. In six to eight months the old lesions had subsided completely and the marks were fading remarkably.
Patient is very happy and satisfied with the treatment. She gained back her confidence. She is continuing with the medicines until complete recovery.
