An Indian from abroad registered online for the treatment of Lichen Planus on 27th February 2006. Mr. S. S. M. was a thirty-five years old young gentleman. He had gone abroad for business purpose for few months. His patient identification number on registration was 9206.
The first Lichen Planus spot had appeared on the left leg a year and a half back. It gradually spread on the right leg, abdomen, both hands, right fingernail. There was moderate itching on the legs and minimal on rest of the areas. He mentioned stress as the triggering factor. Stress was in relation to his business failure and broken marriage since past six to seven years. He had initially used cortisone ointment prescribed by a local doctor which had healed the spots in four months. Later it had relapsed back and started spreading to other areas as well.
His appetite was average. He had a habit of drinking alcohol and smoking, ever since his personal set back. He did not have any specific liking or disliking in food. His thirst was increased. He was more tolerant to warm and less tolerant to cold weather. His bowels were irregular.
His family consisted of parents, second wife and infant son. He had a bitter divorce in 2003.
He had a major business failure in 2000. The prominent emotions in him were depression, anger, and anxiety.
He had a gout attack for which he had taken conventional medicines. He also had fatty liver detected a few years ago.
His parents suffered from diabetes.
He was presently taking liver tonic medicines as a precaution for his fatty liver.
Dr. Shah prescribed him a research-based medicine for four months.
He reported around eight years later on 25th April 2014 for some muscular complaints. He was cured of Lichen Planus within four months itself. The Lichen Planus has not recurred to date.
He has now started treatment for other complaints. He has now shifted to Mumbai, India.
