Mrs. A.M. (Patient Identification Number- 17491) visited Life Force Clinic on 12th Nov 2011 for her complaints of Fissure in ano (Anal Fissure).
She was suffering with Fissure in ano since 6-7 years. But now since 3 years the intensity had increased. There were severe episodes at least 2-3 times in a month lasting for 3-4 days.
There was cutting pain during and after stools. The pain was so severe that she developed a great fear of passing stools. The pain would last for at-least 10- 15 minutes after stools also.
The stools were hard and required straining. It was accompanied with blood streak stools. The complaints would aggravate after eating any kind of oily and spicy food. Per rectal examination confirmed it as a fissure-in-ano.
She was vegetarian by diet and had a special craving for salty food and didn't like sweets. Her thirst and sweating was normal. She preferred cold weather more. She had no problems with her urine. Her menses were regular.
She had completed her masters in Pharmacy and was searching a job. Her husband was working in the government sector. There was no major stress in her life. She used to get angry easily but leave the matter after speaking out.
There was no specific family history or past medical history.
Her case was studied in detail by Dr. Shah and she was prescribed Silica 30 and research based medicines.
After 3 months, on 16th February 2012 her complaints were 30% better. The amount of bleeding had also reduced. The pain had drastically improved, constipation was also better.
After another 3 months, on 19th April 2012 she had reported that, the medicines had worked well for her. Her complaints were 60% better. There was no bleeding and pain episode in last 1.5 months. The constipation had also improved. There was mild swelling per rectum, but no complaints.
After another 4 months, on 16th August 2012, she was completely fine. There was no episode of pain or bleeding. Her constipation had also improved. She was very happy with the results, as the dreadful pain was no more there.
Her Fissure-in-ano was completely cured. She was very thankful to Dr. Shah for her recovery.
