Mrs. S. J., 43 year old lady visited Life Force on 15th November, 2008. Her patient identification number is 11456. She had been suffering from Lichen Planus since 1.5 years. She had been taking cortisone tablets since past 6 months in tapering dosage. Whenever she stopped steroid her complaints would relapse back. At present most of her lesions were healed and recovered due to the steroids. She had searched on internet regarding her illness and decided to start with Dr. Shah’s treatment for a permanent solution. There were few new active lesions appearing even though taking steroids.
Her appetite was average. She liked salty food. She was sensitive to cold weather. Her sleep would be unrefreshed as she would get sleep late by 2 – 3am.
She was a qualified professional, but a home maker. Her husband was an engineer owning a factory of building stones. Her son had appeared for a professional entrance exam of engineering. Her daughter was a chartered accountant.
She stayed in a joint family with her parents in law.
She was qualified as masters in commerce, but could never do any job. Her in laws and husband were against it. There was regret and pent up emotions of anger and hurt. Her husband did not support his aspirations. She would do all the house hold chores. Her fights with husband would last for days and they would not speak. There was sadness in her voice when expressing her adjustments and compromises.
She had done a blood transfusion at the age of 16 years.
Her father suffered from high blood pressure and heart disease. Her mother also had high blood pressure, heart disease and diabetes. Her brother suffered from vitiligo.
Her case was studied in detail by Dr. Shah and he prescribed Natrum Muraticum 200c 2 doses along with Staphysagria 200c along with few research based medicines.
She reported on 26th February 2009 with mild improvement in her Lichen Planus. There were few old spots resurfacing. There was mild itching. She was able to stop the steroids completely. The few active spots were recovering.
She reported on 12th June 2009 with improvement in the hands, legs, backs and hips spots. There was increase in active spots on thighs. It had aggravated due to summer and heat. Her case was reviewed and medicines were upgraded by Dr. Shah.
She reported on 1st October with around 50% improvement in her Lichen Planus. There were still few new spots on and off on ankles. The old spots had healed and recovered. The itching was mild on the ankles.
She reported on 18th December with further improvement in Lichen Planus. There was no disease activity in the form of any upcoming new spots. The old spots were gradually healing.
She reported on 10th April 2010 with 75% improvement in Lichen Planus. There were few spots recurring on her lower legs and they would itch mildly.
She reported on 10th September with complete recovery. There were no active spots. All the spots had healed completely.
She was happy to get completely cured of her Lichen Planus.
