A 39-years-old Naib Tahsildar (PIN- 25265) reported Life Force on March 28, 2015, for treating his vitiligo. In Feb 2015, the patient had an ulcers on the lower lip and after that hypo-pigmentation developed on his lower lip. There was no further spread in the spot. He had Tab Betnesol 20mg two tablets once daily for three days since March 20, 2015. He was taking Tab Patchex 30 mg once daily, Tab Doxylamine 30 mg daily once, using Tacrolimus ointment 0.03 % once daily and Methoxalane in Cetaphil lotion once a week, having Tab Triod (steroid) 25 mg once daily, and apply H-H Sone topical corticosteroid cream once daily since March 20, 2015.
The patient was also having hyperpigmentation around the eyes since 3-4 years. It was increasing the exposure to the sun. He had antioxidant treatment one year ago.
The patient had a mixed diet with an average appetite. He had a specific liking for spicy and sweet foods. He had aversion to the fruits. His thirst was average. But, he used to perspire profusely and his sweat was offensive. The patient was very sensitive to the cold atmosphere. He had satisfactory bowels and no urine complaint. He enjoyed a sound sleep.
He was a government servant working as Naib Tahsildar, and his wife was a primary school teacher. He was having two kids. His daughter was 7-years-old and son was 11-years-old.
He is very polite. He had a good attachment to his family. He used to feel as if all the family is together. He respected his elder brother a lot. His brother is very dominating, but he had never gone against his brother. At home, the patient was quite irritating, short-tempered, but his anger used to last for some time. He was worried about the disease as he felt that his kids may get it.
His father was asthmatic. His mother had kidney disease. His grandmother on the paternal side had hypertension. His brother had hypertension and arthritis. The patient himself was not having any history of illness in the past.
His blood pressure was on higher side 150/90.
After studying his case in detail, Dr. Shah prescribed him Nitric acid - 30 and Vitiligo molecule - 30 four pills three times for two months.
The patient reported again on May 16, 2015, for a follow-up over the phone. His vitiligo was stable. The doctor prescribed him Nitric acid - 30 and Vitiligo molecule - 30 for two months.
On July 9, 2015, the spots of vitiligo were stable. This time Dr. Shah prescribed him Nitric acid - 30, Vitiligo molecule – 30, and M. T - 30 for two months.
Then on Oct 30, 2015, the patient experienced a mild improvement in his vitiligo spot. The doctor prescribed him Nitric acid - 30, Vitiligo molecule - 30, M. T- 30, and Syphilinum - 1M two doses for two months.
On Feb 13, 2016, the patient visited for a follow-up. His vitiligo spot was same in size, but its brightness was reduced. His hyper-pigmentation on cheeks was reduced to 50% and that on the forehead was reduced to 75%. The doctor prescribed him Ars sulph flavum- 200 and some researched based medicine for 6 weeks.
In May 2016, when the patient reported over the phone, his vitiligo had increased in brightness, but the size of the spot was same. He had an excess sun exposure in the last one month. His hyper-pigmentation over the cheeks and forehead had reduced to 75%. The doctor prescribed him Vitiligo A pill - 30, Vitiligo b pill - 30, Bion- 30, Ars sulph flavum- 200, and some researched based medicine for 6 weeks.
On August 2, 2016, the patient gave his feedback over the phone. The size of vitiligo spot had reduced and brightness was also reduced. His hyper-pigmentation was stable. The doctor prescribed him Vitiligo A pill - 30, Vitiligo b pill - 30, Bion- 30, Ars sulph flavum-200, and some researched based medicine for 1 month.
In between, the patient was giving his follow-up on time. On Oct 28, 2016, the patient informed that his vitiligo was stable in brightness and size. His hyper-pigmentation on the cheeks and forehead was improving. He had developed one new complaint of itching on fingers of the hand since last 15 days. The doctor prescribed him Ars sulph flavum-200, Syphilinum - 200 single doses, and some research based medicine for 6 weeks.
During the next follow-up on Jan 30, 2017, the patient told that his vitiligo spot was improving. Spot over the lip turned more pinkish and had slightly reduced in size. His hyperpigmentation over the cheeks and forehead was stable. The doctor prescribed him Ars sulph flavum-200, Syphilinum - 200 single dose, and some research based medicine for 6 weeks.
On April 18, 2017, the patient visited for a follow-up. His vitiligo over the lip was improving. The color of the spot turned more pinkish red. His hyperpigmentation over the cheeks had improved further, but that over the forehead was the same with about 75% improvement. The doctor prescribed him Ars sulph flavum-200, Syphilinum - 200 single dose, and some research based medicine for 6 weeks.
On June 6, 2017, the patient gave his follow-up over the phone. His vitiligo had improved by 50%. Its color had become reddish and the size has reduced to 50%. His hyperpigmentation over the cheeks got 50% better, and over the forehead, it was 75% better. The doctor prescribed him ASF-200, Syphilinum - 200 single doses, and some research based medicine for 6 weeks.
The patient is still under our treatment.
Conclusion:
Vitiligo over difficult areas, such as lips, shows a good improvement with homeopathy.
