Forty-year-old male from Kolkata, Mr. P.M. (Patient Identification No: 21557) visited Life Force on 29th August 2013 for the treatment of Hepatitis C.
He was diagnosed with Hepatitis C genotype 1 one month before. His viral load (HCV RNA) report dated 30th July 2013 was 754105 IU/ml. He presented with symptoms of weakness, dry cough and daily episodes of vomiting after eating. His renal function tests and liver function tests were slightly elevated. His hemoglobin was low. He had taken interferon injection on 16th August 2013 but he suffered from high grade fever, rigors and cough after that. So, he discontinued the conventional mode of treatment and started with homeopathic treatment.
He was a known case of bilateral chronic renal parenchymal disease since ten years. In 2007, he had undergone renal transplant surgery. He was on haemodialysis; thrice in a week since three years. From his history, dialysis was thought to be the possible source of infection. He was suffering from hypertension since 2003. He also used to suffer from frequent colds with sneezing and watery discharge.
His appetite was normal. He did not have specific liking or disliking for any food. He was sensitive to hot weather. His bowel movements were normal.
He was stressed due to his disease but was hopeful to fight it out. Both his parents suffered from hypertension.
His case was studied by Dr. Shah. He prescribed him Phosphorus 30 along with his research based molecules for Hepatitis C.
In November 2013, he reported that there was slight reduction in his viral load. Viral load dated 15th November 2013 was 730000 IU/ml. His condition was stable.
After 3 months i.e. on February 2014), he reported on phone that his viral load had come down to 6,41,883 iu/ml from 7,50,000 iu/ml. He was nearly asymptomatic. He did not have cough or vomiting complaints. Next batch of medicines were sent.
After 3 months i.e. on May 2014, he visited Life Force and was very happy to report that his viral load had come down to 165844 iu/ml (dated 5th May 2014) from 641883 iu/ml (dated 18th February14). He did not have any apparent complaints. He suffered with mild weakness. His blood pressure level was on higher side and was thus advised to consult his local physician to alter the dosage of anti-hypertensive drugs. He is still under our treatment for further recovery.
