Urticaria is a skin condition or reaction which causes itchy and red eruptions on any parts of the body. These eruptions can remain on the body for a variable period anywhere from a few seconds to even hours. They tend to disappear and reappear. They happen to disappear without leaving behind any trace. When it keeps on appearing repeatedly, anti-histamine or anti-allergic tablets are required to control the skin condition. In a few severe cases, even steroids may be required to prevent episodes of urticaria.
At Life Force, we have successfully treated many cases of chronic urticaria where the frequency, duration, and dependency on anti-allergic tablets were reduced after taking Dr. Shah’s homeopathic medicines. Let’s have a look at one such case of urticaria.
We had a patient with chronic urticaria from Jamshedpur. He was suffering from chronic urticaria for the last 7 years. The patient was dependent on anti-allergic tablets. If he missed its dose, the rashes would appear on his body. Even after taking the tablets, it used to appear once a week. His rashes of urticaria used to last for 6 to 8 hours. He was experiencing intense itching and redness of the skin during the acute attacks.
His wife was taking treatment from Life Force for Vitiligo for the last 6 to 7 years and she was experiencing improved healing amazingly with the homeopathic medicines. So, she consulted us asking if we could treat chronic urticaria also. All the details were explained to her and she convinced her husband to start treatment at Life Force. He started treatment on 24th March 2021.
Physical Generals:
The patient had an average appetite. He had no specific desire or aversion related to food. His thirst for water was adequate. He had no issues related to the urine and stool. His sleep was sound and refreshing.
Psychological and Family Make-Up:
The patient was having his own business. His wife was a housewife. Often, he used to experience stress related to work and business.
Self and Family’s Medical History:
The patient had no major illness in the past. No major illnesses were noticed in his family’s medical history.
At Life Force:
After studying the case in detail, Dr. Shah prescribed some of his research-based homeopathic medicines to the patient. He was advised not to stop anti-allergic tablets immediately as they may cause acute relapse. The patient was advised to take homeopathy and allopathic medicine together with 30 minutes gap between both the medicines and, later, he can reduce it gradually.
Follow-Ups:
On 24th May 2021, the patient reported that there was no change in his condition. He was still getting the rashes once a week, and he had to take antihistamines daily. If he missed the dose of allopathic medicine, he would experience an acute episode of urticaria. Based on this feedback the medicines were changed by Dr. Shah and revised medicines were given to the patient.
On 17th September 2021, the patient updated that he was 20% to 30 % better with the homeopathic medicines. The frequency of episodes of urticaria had reduced. The duration of the rash was 3 to 4 hours only now. The itching and redness were less than before. He had reduced the dose of antihistamine to once a week. The patient was very happy with the recovery.
On 20th January 2022, the patient updated that he was almost 50% to 60% better in his relief from the complaints. The frequency of his episode of urticaria was once a week but the intensity was quite less than before. He had stopped taking antihistamines and he was only on homeopathy now. The rashes used to appear once a week and disappeared in a few minutes. The severity of the skin disease had reduced a lot.
On 10th March 2022, the patient updated that he was almost 70% to 80% better now. He had no episode of urticaria in the last 2 months. He had stopped allopathic medicines now, and he was only on homeopathy. There was a lot of improvement in his relief and skin health with the medicines.
On 1st September 2022, the patient reported that he was perfectly fine now. He had no episode of Urticaria in the last 4 to 5 months. The patient had recovered from the skin condition with homeopathic medicines. His dependency on anti-histamine or anti-allergic tablets was eliminated after starting with homeopathy.
The patient thanked Dr. Shah and the whole Life Force team for treating him and improving his relief and skin health. He is continuing treatment to complete the full course of treatment.
Conclusion:
This case illustrates that homeopathy can treat chronic urticaria successfully and safely without any side effects. Also, homeopathy can help eliminate the dependency on antihistamines and allopathic medicines.
