A senior Software Consultant finds relief in Allergic Rhinitis
Mr. J.K. aged 44 years, a senior software associate (Patient ID: 53206) had been suffering from allergic rhinitis for nine months. He complained of a runny nose, thin watery coryza during the daytime nose block at night, and frequent bouts of sneezing, which got better with steam inhalation. He also experienced mild eye redness and dryness, as well as irritation at the corners of both eyes. He was allergic to smoke and fragrances. For a month, he has been taking Tab. Cetirizine every day.
Physical generals:
He perspired a lot and had an average appetite. He had a sweet tooth and disliked fruits.
Mental generals:
He quit smoking cigarettes eight months ago, but his mental health declined after that. He became easily agitated and struggled with anxiety and fearful thoughts. He had few friends and remained quiet and withdrawn.
At Life Force, a thorough case was taken, and his medical history, family history, and past illnesses were considered. Dr. Rajesh Shah evaluated the case thoroughly, prescribed medications for all symptoms, and recommended supplements for deficiencies found in the blood report.
The IgE value in the report was higher than average dated 16th December 2023, 459.1(H) (Normal value: 150–300 UI/ml)
Follow-ups:
In his first follow-up on January 27, 2024, he was better for the initial 15 days but after that, the frequency increased to three episodes every two weeks because of cold winter weather and he suffered from sneezing, watery coryza, and nose block during each episode. He took one tablet of Allegra every six to eight days.
By 10th March 2024, he experienced mild bouts of watery coryza every three to five days per month, had less eye irritation, had no blockage in his nose, and did not take any antihistamine for at least 1 month.
On April 7, 24 he was 60% better; no eye irritation or nose block; had two episodes while riding his bike to Panvel because of dust while driving; he took the Allegra tablet five days a month.
By July 7, 2024, overall he was 80% better. Before seeing us 2 weeks prior, he experienced a runny nose episode with a fever of about 100 F. He recovered with conventional medicine in four days. The cold winds and a change in the weather caused the episode and was taking one Tab Allegra 120 BD for four days during the episode.
On August 17, 24 he took Tab Allegra OD twice a week for a month because he had a runny nose, two to four episodes of sneezing, red eyes, nose block, and headaches, usually three days a week. It was brought on by the rainy season.
By May 10, 24 he did not use antihistamines and had one mild episode of running nose without a nose block.
In November 2024, he was 90% better and there was no need to take antihistamines even in the rainy season, and his IgE was reduced. The report dated 3rd November 2024 showed IgE 211.0 IU/mL, which was in the normal range.
Conclusion:
Homeopathic treatment significantly alleviated his allergic rhinitis complaints. His condition improved significantly and IgE levels normalized, the reliance on antihistamine medications like Tab Allegra gradually reduced, highlighting substantial progress in managing allergic rhinitis.
