A Teen with Irregular Menses Treated Successfully In Just 8 Months With Homeopathy
A 17-year-old teenage girl, Ms. S. S. (PIN: 48401) visited Life Force’s Homeopathy Malleswaram clinic with her mother for her treatment of irregular menses. She started her treatment on 15th June 2022. She had complaints mainly of irregular menses, acne on the forehead, and hair fall.
A detailed case-taking was done considering both her mental and physical generals.
Physical Generals:
The patient had an average appetite and had a mixed diet. She liked eating non-vegetarian food, such as chicken and spicy prawns. She didn’t like milk or sweets. The patient had regular eating habits. She had a normal thirst and drank 2-3 liters of water daily. The teen had average perspiration mostly on her forehead & underarms, and she was thermally chilly. Her bowel movements and stools were regular, and she didn’t need to strain while passing stools. She had no urinary complaints. She attained her menarche at 13 years of age but menstrual cycles were not regular. The patient enjoyed a sound, refreshing sleep, mainly lying on the sides.
The case-taking was done in detail and was updated. The patient had an average physique and had no deformities. Her weight was 61.1kg, as she told us orally.
Psychological and Family Make-Up:
She was a college-going girl. Her father was working in Saudi, and her mother was a homemaker. She was also staying with her grandparents. The patient had a brother studying at school. Her mental state was taken into consideration. She had a happy childhood, and she was good at her studies. Her parents were very supportive. She was gentle and would get anxious easily during exams and test papers.
Self and Family Medical History:
The patient had no illnesses in the past. There was no relevant family history of any autoimmune disease. Her mother had a history of PCOD.
At Life Force:
After going through her case in detail, Dr. Shah prescribed research-based homeopathic medicines to the patient. She was also advised to follow the right diet and healthy lifestyle practices along with the medicine.
Follow-Ups:
At the first follow-up, the patient mentioned that she got her menses after 5 months on 4th August 2022 and the flow was moderate. She had acne on the forehead and her hair fall had reduced. She was not taking any hormonal tablets.
At the follow-up on 13th October 2022, the patient was feeling better. She was getting menses once every 2 months. The patient had menses on 2nd October 2022 and the flow was moderate. She was getting acne on the forehead occasionally and her hair fall had reduced. Now, she was not taking any hormonal tablets.
On the follow-up on 9th December 2022, the patient was overall better. The patient got her menses after 2 months on 8th December 2022. The patient was getting menses and its flow was moderate. She had dysmenorrhea, crampy discomfort, and pain in the lower abdomen. Her hair fall had reduced. The patient was not taking any hormonal medicines.
On the follow-up on 4th February 2023, the patient was feeling better. Now the patient was getting menses regularly. The patient had the last menses on 24th January 2023 with a moderate flow. Her relief from hair falls was better. She had not taken any hormonal medicines.
On the follow-up on 26th March 2023, the patient was better. She had got her menses on 24th February 2023 with a moderate flow and bearable pain. She had not taken any painkillers.
On the follow-up on 24th June 2023, the patient was called up for a follow-up. The patient gets her menses regularly with a gap of 29-31 days. No acne was observed. Also, her relief from hair fall was better.

Conclusion:
