An Aspiring MBBS Student Found a Solution to Her Illness Through Homeopathy.
On February 20, 2024, a college student named R.D (Patient ID: 53805) came to the Life Force Chembur clinic. She was very eager to begin the treatment after discovering Life Force through Dr. Shah''s YouTube videos. She visited with her father. She was suffering from PCOD, a disease where the menses are irregular and also associated with other symptoms like weight gain, hair fall, acne, hirsutism, etc…
Miss. R.D had irregular periods since 2020. She began taking a hormonal medication called T DEVIRY for two to three months, but after stopping it, her periods started to become irregular again. This continued every few months of hormonal treatment. Weary of taking so many medications without any lasting effects, she considered switching to something that would provide long-term relief without harming her body. She also had vitiligo, which was a small patch that appeared close to the lips. She began treatment for both PCOD and Vitiligo and during the routine investigation that was conducted at the beginning of the treatment at Life Force, it was discovered that she had hypothyroidism as well. She was advised to start the treatment for hypothyroidism as well.

Left ovary 3.8*2.8*2.1cm (volume 12.3cc)

Personal details:
She has a desire for spicy and sour food and average thirst and sound sleep.
Miss R.D. was a college-going girl aspiring to become a Doctor in the coming time and soon got admitted to a well-known medical college and is studying MBBS. She was very shy and reserved by nature but always carried a smile on her face when she came for consultation. She was a very ambitious and strong-willed person.
Her father suffered from Hypothyroidism, and allergic rhinitis. Her grandfather had vitiligo.
After considering her current disease status, and her case history, Dr. Shah prescribed NAT MUR-30 along with dietary recommendations and certain investigation-like advice the rule out nutritional deficiency and other hurdles in the treatment like thyroid function. She has explained the scope of homeopathy in both of her ailments.
Follow ups:
During the initial follow-up on April 2, 2024, she reported that she had not yet got her period and that her lip vitiligo spot was unchanged. Her TSH levels were high (21.2.24) TSH-6.055 when her blood work was done, however, and this resulted in a diagnosis of underactive thyroid. She began homeopathic treatment because she didn''t want to start taking thyroid supplements.
In the subsequent follow-up, which took place on May 15, 2024, she smiled and reported that she had her period in May following December 23. The flow was light and painless, and even her facial hypopigmentation had begun to show positive changes. It was recommended that the thyroid profile be repeated.
In the next follow-up due on 25th May 24, her menses had become regular and even her flow was improving every time, the hypo-pigmented patch on the face was stable. Also, her Thyroid parameter has improved and came within normal range.
Thyroid profile (14.5.24)
TSH-1.0613
T3-91.20
T4-7.29
At the September 2024 follow-up, she reported that she didn''t get her period in August and that she got menses in September. Her hypopigmented patch was getting better. She was advised to do ultrasonography. She had done her thyroid tests, and all parameters were within the normal range.
Thyroid profile (26.7.24)
TSH-2.95
T3-69.88
T4-6.50
Her skin, menstrual cycle, and thyroid all improved in the upcoming follow-up, and even her USG results, which were taken on February 24 before the treatment began, showed a good improvement.
USG was repeated on Nov 24(8.11.24)
RT ovary measures 4.3*2.6*2.3cm(14cc)
Lt ovary-measures 3.6*2.8*2.1cm(11.8cc)
impression- suggestive of PCOD.
Her parents decided to stop treatment for an underactive thyroid as her reports were within normal limits for a few months and that they would restart again if fluctuation was noted in the blood report monitoring.
She still is continuing treatment for her Vitiligo and PCOD for further improvement and attaining good health.
Conclusion:
The above case is a perfect example of how timely diagnosis is important and how homeopathy helps in such cases. Homeopathic medication helps restore the normal function of the body and stimulates glands in ailments where conventional medication doesn't have a long-term solution. Also, routine blood tests are important and should be timely repeated for overall health recovery.
