Anxiety neurosis, now commonly referred to as generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), is a psychological condition characterized by excessive, persistent, and often irrational worry or anxiety about everyday situations. This condition can affect various aspects of life, including work, social interactions, and even physical health. It can lead to symptoms that interfere with daily functioning.
Physical generals:
The patient followed a mixed diet and has an average appetite with no specific craving or aversion for any food. His urinary function was normal, and his bowel movements were not satisfactory. His sleep was not sound because of constant worry and anxiety; unwanted thoughts used to come to his mind during sleep, which prevented him from sleeping. He has somnambulism at times and sleeps much disturbed. He kept on changing positions during sleep.
Family history and background:
He was staying with his wife and son. His wife is a homemaker, and his son is in 9th grade. He was working for a private company.
Mental generals:
He was introverted by nature, polite and calm, less communicative, and anxious. He was always concerned about his family. He did not like to mingle with strangers. He preferred to stay at home always.
After studying his detailed case history, he was prescribed THUJA 30 along with researched base molecules by Dr. Shah.
Homeopathy is a complementary or alternative medical system that treats individuals with highly diluted substances, which are believed to stimulate the body’s natural healing processes. The approach to treating anxiety neurosis with homeopathy involves addressing both the symptoms and the underlying emotional or psychological factors contributing to the condition. Homeopaths believe that each person is unique, and thus treatment should be tailored to their specific emotional, mental, and physical state.
Follow-ups:
When a patient was called up for the first follow-up in January 2024, his complaints were 20% better. The panic attacks were reduced; however, he was still taking his anti-depressant medicine.
By 15th March 2024, the panic attacks further reduced, and the patient had stopped his allopathic medicine completely.
By May 20th, his complaints were reduced remarkably, his sleep had improved, and he was less anxious and worried about his future and family. The patient was still taking his sleep allopathic medicine; however, the antidepressant was stopped completely.
The patient thanked Dr. Shah and the entire team for the successful treatment of their daughter in a short period, and he started believing firmly in homeopathy.
Conclusion:
In homeopathy, the treatment of anxiety neurosis aims to address both the symptoms and the underlying sensitivities that trigger the condition. When anti-depressants are being used to manage the symptoms, homeopathic remedies can be complementary to help reduce the frequency and severity of symptoms, support overall emotional health, and address the root causes of mental illnesses without giving any side effects.
