Case Study
A 28-year-old gentleman (PIN: 42804) visited Life Force’s Jayanagar branch on 28th February 2020 for the treatment of his complaint of psoriasis which he was suffering from for 2 months. The main symptoms that he was presenting were scaly eruptions on the legs, abdomen, chest, hands, face, scalp, and ears. The skin was dry, and there were deep cracks behind both ears. The itching was more on the scalp and scaly dandruff-like flakes were seen on the scalp. His complaints often used to get aggravated whenever there was a climate change.
His family history was asked to rule out genetic predisposition. There was no relevant family history of any autoimmune disease.
His past and current treatment history were asked about and updated.
A thorough and detailed case-taking was done considering both his mental and physical generals.
Physical Generals:
He was a non-vegetarian and had an average appetite. He had a craving for sour food. He had an average thirst and drank around 2-3 liters of water daily. He had average perspiration and couldn’t bear both winter and hot weather conditions. His bowel movements were satisfactory with no urinary issues. He enjoyed a very sound sleep and preferred sleeping on his back.
On physical examination, the patient had an average physique and had no deformity. His BP and weight were checked and updated.
Psychological Generals:
His mental generals were also taken in detail. The patient had a very happy childhood with a well-supported family. He was a very gentle and soft-spoken person. He was an easy-go-person and never took any kind of stress or tension. He was an extroverted person and always liked to share his feelings with others.
His intellectual sphere was also taken into consideration. His memory, intelligence, perception, logic, and analysis all were good.
Dr. Shah had gone through the case file in detail and prescribed the medicines after evaluating the whole case. The patient was also advised to follow the diet chart of psoriasis given to him.
Follow-Ups:
At the first follow-up on 13th May 2020, the patient was 20% better as far as scaling and itching were concerned.
By 28th July 2020, the patient was 40% better.
The patient was gradually showing good improvement in the next follow-ups; however, slight flare-ups occurred during the climate change. But the intensity of the symptoms was very less even during the flare-ups.
By 30th March 2023, the patient was almost 90% better. He had no relapse and also his scar marks had faded to a great extent.
The patient was very happy and thankful to Dr. Shah and the entire Life Force Team for the excellent results that he has experienced.
