Miraculous Healing Hypothyroidism of an 8-Year-Old Kid with Homeopathy
An 8-year-old boy, Mast. C. T. Z. (PIN: 32026) came to the Chembur clinic of Life Force on 29th September 2017 with a complaint of hypopigmented patches developed on his face. He was diagnosed with vitiligo, which he had been suffering from for the last 1 year. He had hypopigmented patches on the upper eyelids and both cheeks, which were examined with the Wood’s lamp. In the routine investigation, which was done while starting the treatment, he was diagnosed with an Underactive thyroid wherein his TSH was 5.05 which is more than the normal range (0.45-4.5). Routine investigation of Thyroid profile is done while starting vitiligo treatment because thyroid hormones have a great impact on the normal function and pigmentation of the skin.
Physical Generals:
He was a shy kid and liked eating chicken, chocolates, sweets, and sour things. He used to experience a scanty perspiration. He also had associated complaints of hard stools, flatulence, and other digestive complaints.
Personal and Family Medical History:
The child’s mother also had complaints of an underactive thyroid and was on conventional medication for the same. He also had a strong family history of vitiligo and other autoimmune problems. There was a history of Underactive Thyroid, Diabetes Mellitus, Cancer, and Asthma present in his family.
At Life Force:
After the proper case study and analysis, Dr. Shah prescribed Nitric Acid for Vitiligo and Natrum Mur for his Underactive Thyroid. The doctor also suggested the proper dietary measures along with the medicine to the child to help him get better. Also, photographs were taken of his skin for future comparison.
Follow-Ups:
When he came for the follow-up in June 2017, his vitiligo patches were stable and the TSH report was not repeated. But, in the coming follow-up, TSH reports were done in August 2017 wherein TSH was 1.87 which was in the normal range. He was only under homeopathic treatment for both of his ailments.
In the follow-up in December 2017, the patient’s TSH was 3.52 which was again in the normal range. Also, his vitiligo patches were healing in every follow-up.
In the follow-up in February 2018, a few new spots were seen on the legs and under the eyes. The child’s thyroid report was repeated on 21st April 2018 wherein TSH was 3.5. His vitiligo patches which had appeared in the last follow-up healed in 2-3 months.
In future follow-ups, the patient’s recovery from vitiligo patches was improving and TSH remained stable. He is still under treatment for Vitiligo and his thyroid reports which were done intermittently were normal.
He is an excellent example of how wonderfully homeopathy works in treating cases of endocrine disorders when diagnosed on time and without allopathic intervention.
He is also a case to learn from how the action of one hormone (TSH) influences the action of other hormones (Melanin).
Conclusion:
This case highlights that homeopathy can promote recovery from vitiligo and hypothyroidism in children effectively, gently, and safely without any side effects. Homeopathy is a better option for treating an underactive thyroid wherein homeopathic medicines are required for a particular period than conventional treatment wherein the patient has to have medicine lifelong.
