New Delhi Patient Wins Back Life from Meniere’s Disease
This is the case study of a 57-year-old male Mr. R.S. (Patient ID: 12263), residing in Sarita Vihar, New Delhi reached out to Dr. Shah’s team through chat and a follow-up call was done with Mr.R.S to discuss his complaints of Meniere's disease. Meniere's disease is an inner ear problem that can cause vertigo, tinnitus, imbalance, the fullness of the ear, hearing problems, etc. Those affected by it, have their daily lives disturbed, and they can't concentrate on their work.
His silent struggle began in 2001, he started experiencing whispers of Meniere's disease, and what started as occasional dizziness evolved over the years into persistent and disturbing symptoms that severely impacted his quality of life. When he consulted us he described hearing a continuous, bothersome humming sound in his ear, which never let him have a moment of silence for the past month. He also informed us about his hearing loss, and gradually he started noticing that conversations became muffled, making communication increasingly difficult. He frequently felt a sensation of pressure in his ears, as though they were blocked. Initially, the disease seemed manageable. However, by mid-2009, his condition had worsened significantly. He described how the constant dizziness and noise in his ear made concentrating at work nearly impossible, leading to frustration and irritability. His daily life had become a struggle, as even simple tasks required immense effort and focus. The once-active Mr. R.S. found himself confined to a life dominated by discomfort and limitations. He was taking Vertin 24 mg (Betahistine) three times daily to manage vertigo and Stemetil (Prochlorperazine) used as needed for episodes of nausea and dizziness.
By June 2009, tired of the limited relief provided by conventional treatments and concerned about the progression of his disease, Mr. R.S. reached out to us. He hoped for a holistic solution that could restore balance not only to his inner ear but also to his life as a whole. After a phone discussion with an associate doctor, the detailed homeopathic treatment scope was explained and the patient opted for online treatment under Dr.Shah

Follow-ups:
In his first follow-up after six weeks of taking medicines, the patient reported an improvement in his symptoms. The dizziness and fullness in his ears were reduced to some extent, but the rest of the complaints remained the same; there was no major difference. Based on his follow-up, he was prescribed the next two months of medicine.
After a few months of regular homeopathic medicines, the patient gave his follow-up on 2nd March 2010. His vertigo, tinnitus, and fullness of ear symptoms improved a lot. No further progress was seen in his hearing loss problem. He had also stopped conventional medicines. Since the patient was doing much better, there were no major relapses, so he was advised to stop the treatment. But after a few months of stopping the medicine, mild symptoms reappeared so he was advised to restart the Homeopathic treatment. After resuming the treatment, his symptoms again improved. He was taking only homeopathic medicine and his all symptoms were under control. He continued the homeopathic medicine for further recovery. In March 2012 he was advised to stop the Homeopathic treatment since he was better.
After 3 years of stopping medicines, the patient informed us about the relapsing in his symptoms in November 2015. His dizziness, humming sounds in the ears, and hearing problems reappeared so based on his totality of symptoms, he was prescribed accordingly. After starting the medicine, his symptoms reduced a lot. There was no need to take any conventional medicines. By 2016, he responded well but on 10th November 2016, he informed me that his hearing problem and fullness of ear problem were aggravated so he was prescribed the required medicine.
On 4th July 2017, he informed us that his all symptoms were better. He didn't face any problems so he stopped the medicine again.
After almost one and half years, by December 2018, he again called and informed us about a mild relapse in his humming sound, as per the case the necessary medicines were given. He responded well to new medicine within a few months. Later he continued the medicine as a preventive measure. Since 4-5 years, he is doing well. All symptoms are better. He is living his life with happiness and there is no need to take any conventional medicines.
