Rapidly Spreading Lichen Planus Recedes With Homeopathy
Lichen planus is an autoimmune skin condition that is very stubborn and difficult to heal. At Life Force, we have treated many cases of Lichen planus with excellent recovery. Here’s one such case that found immense relief with Dr. Shah’s homeopathy.
There was a patient under our treatment for her complaint of GERD. She was suffering from this gastrointestinal condition for a long time and got better with one year of treatment at Life Force. She stopped the medicines after that.
After a year, she started developing lichen planus on her body. Initially, she contacted a dermatologist and started taking conventional medicines. She was prescribed local steroids and a few other medicines. She took those for some time and felt better, but, when she tried to stop those medicines, lichen planus started spreading rapidly. It was spreading all over her body. The patient started experiencing severe itching and burning on her skin. She contacted us as she had experienced successful healing once with Life Force for her gastric complaints. She started treatment from Life Force on 18th July 2018.
Physical Generals:
The patient had an appetite was average. She loved eating fried food. She had no specific dislike for any food. Her thirst for water was adequate. She used to sweat more on her palms and soles. She had no issues related to urine and stool. Her sleep was sound and refreshing.
Psychological and Family Make-Up:
The patient was working in clinical research. Her husband was an IT engineer. She had two sons who were studying in school. By nature, the patient was very reserved and sad. She was often anxious about her health. She was shy, timid, and often had anxiety going in public.
Self and Family’s Medical History:
There was no major illness noticed in the past with the patient nor she had any family medical history of any illness.
At Life Force:
After studying the case in detail, Dr. Shah prescribed some research-based homeopathic medicines along with some dietary tips to the patient.
Follow-Ups:
On 7th August 2018, the patient reported that her lesions were more spreading than before and the itching was also increased. On further investigation, it was found that the patient had stopped using steroids suddenly. So, she developed a withdrawal effect of it. The case was reviewed again by Dr. Shah, and revised medicines were given to the patient.
On 13th September 2018, the patient reported that she was a lot better with the medicines now. The spread of the disease was under control. New eruptions of lichen planus had stopped appearing on the body. The itching was reduced than before. She was experiencing no burning on the skin. The patient was very happy with the recovery. She had stopped all medicines, and she was only on Homeopathy now.
On 5th January 2019, the patient reported further improvement with the medicines. All her active lesions had subsided. The spread was completely under control. New eruptions had not appeared. Only hyperpigmented marks were present on the skin now. The disease was completely under control with the medicines.
On 21st August 2019, the patient reported that she was completely fine. There were no active lesions on her skin. Hyperpigmented marks were present but they were fading gradually. The disease was completely under control, and there was no further spread of the disease. She had experienced an overall recovery with the medicines.
