Recurrent Episodes of Prurigo Nodularis Treated Successfully at Life Force
Prurigo nodularis is a chronic skin disorder characterized by the presence of hard, extremely itchy bumps known as nodules. The number of new incidences per year in the US is estimated to be 72 per 100,000 people, or 87,634 people a year in people aged 18 to 64 years old.
A 46-year-old female from Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, India, Mrs. A. S. (PIN: 45576) started online treatment from Life Force Homeopathy on 16th June 2021. She had been suffering from Prurigo Nodularis since 2002. It was treated with allopathic medicines very well. She had experienced a relapse of this skin condition in 2014 and it was treated with allopathy. Again, she had a relapse in 2018. She had stopped using all medications since October 2020. Her skin condition has been treated with homeopathic medications since January 2020.
Her presenting complaints include hyperpigmented scars and a few eruptions on the abdomen, flaky eruptions on bilateral arms and hands, many eruptions on legs, a few hyperpigmented scars on the chest, a few eruptions on genitals, hypertrophied eruptions on bilateral legs with severe itching and blood and watery discharge after scratching.

Follow-Ups:
At the follow-up on 23rd October 2021, the patient was 35% better. New eruptions were present only on her face and hips. The symptoms had reduced in intensity and size. The itching had reduced. Her relief from hyperpigmentation had started improving. She had started Allopathic treatment in August 2021. Her current state was steroid-masked. Flare-ups anticipated explained new eruptions once a week
On the follow-up on 16th December 2021, the patient was 80% better. All her lesions had dried out, only pigmentation was remaining, and peeling of the skin was occurring. She no longer suffered from itching. She had stopped all conventional treatments in the last 1.5 months. No new eruptions had developed, and no discharges occurred.
At the follow-up on 6th February 2022, the patient was stable. Most of her lesions had dried out now. She no longer suffered from itching. Some tiny eruptions were present on her back and hands off and on. A mild dryness of skin with mild itching on the back, thighs, and legs was present.
At the follow-up on 17th of May 2022, an increase in eruptions had occurred in 1 month due to the summer heat. Her eruptions had itching, dryness, bleeding serious discharge, and hyperpigmentation continuous for 1 month on the abdomen, thighs, and hips, She experienced burning after scratching.
At the follow-up on 9th September 2022, the patient was 90% better and stable. She had no new eruptions, no itching, and no discharges.
Conclusion:
This case illustrates that Homeopathy at Life Force treats recurrent episodes of chronic Prurigo nodularis successfully and safely with no side effects by reducing the intensity and frequency and stopping the dependency on conventional treatment.
