Restoring Gut Health with Homeopathic Medicine
An elderly patient with Patient ID: 4856 referred a 40-year-old housewife whose husband was employed at the TMC tax department and who had a 10-year-old son who lived in Thane, India. PIN 49319 is Mrs. P.J.K.'s patient identification number. She had epigastric pain shortly after eating and didn't feel better until the food was expelled through her stool, so she went to our Thane Life Force Homoeopathy Clinic on September 26, 2022. After eating, she had flatulence and bloating, but after a year, her stool was better. Episodes occurred two to three times per month and lasted for one day. Flatulence followed the urge and the inability to defecate. She had one or two bowel movements per day. When she first came to see us, she was 51.7 kg, which was a significant weight loss. Since the onset of her colitis, she had lost nearly 10 kilograms, but her weight had remained stable for six months. She didn't have diarrhoea or the urgency to go to the bathroom. Since 6th September 2022, she has been taking 1 tablespoon of OD of Pankreoflat syrup (170 mg/80 mg of pancreatin and dimethicone) for a month.
Apart from Colitis, she has been suffering from Uterine fibroid since 2020, Cervical Lordosis since 2021, Hairfall, and Iron deficiency anaemia for almost 10 years.

She complained of constipation and frequency of passing stools on alternate days with gaseous disturbances.
By 12th September she was 80% better, had mild pain on overeating outside food, had constipation, and passed stool every alternate day.
In November 2023, overall, she was better, with no major frequency of pain since the last follow-up. A week ago, she had an episode of flatulence with nausea for 2-3 days and occasional constipation 2-3 times/month caused by eating bakery foods or faulty dietary habits). She took Tab Rantac (sos 1 tab) a week ago.
90 % better by 6th March 2024, there was no pain in the abdomen, had mild bloating occasionally once a month, started eating fried snacks, and bakery foods in the evening and she was not facing any trouble in digestion.
By 9th July 2024, she visited for a follow-up and mentioned having pain episodes because of a GIT infection after eating outside food and taking allopathic medicines for acute complaints.
In August 2024, she was doing much better with no pain; and no trouble in digestion just had mild bloating that too after eating outside food.
Conclusion:
This case illustrates how homeopathy treats each patient's symptoms and constitution through customized remedies. The remedies' anti-inflammatory qualities aid in reducing the problem and thereby easing symptoms like bloating and stomach pain. The medications help improve absorption, restore digestive balance and increase the desire to eat thereby helping to improve weight.
